Chimo Taekwondo March Break Camp — Ages 5+
Dates: March Break week March 16-20, 2026
Location: Chimo Taekwondo ~ 91 Thornhill Dr., Spryfield NS
Camp hours: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM (early drop-off 8:30 AM / late pickup 4:30 PM available)
Ages: 5 and older
Designed both for Beginners and Experienced students, our March Break Camp blends Taekwondo training with fun, active programming. Campers will build basic technique, balance and coordination, confidence, and respect while enjoying games, challenges and team activities. The day balances structured martial arts lessons with free-play and rest periods to keep kids energized and engaged.
Daily schedule (sample)
9:00–9:15 — Check-in, warm-up, and stretching
9:15–10:15 — Taekwondo skills: stances, blocks, kicks, and forms
10:15–10:30 — Snack break (pack a nut-free snack)
10:30–11:15 — Confidence & fitness circuit: obstacle courses, coordination drills
11:15–12:00 — Team games and character-building activities
12:00–1:00 — Lunch (bring a packed lunch)
1:00–1:30 — Creative time: crafts or Taekwondo-themed projects
1:30–2:15 — Sparring basics and controlled partner work (safety-first approach)
2:15–2:30 — Afternoon snack
2:30–3:15 — Self-defense skills and situational awareness
3:15–3:45 — Cool-down, flexibility, and mindfulness
3:45–4:00 — Daily wrap-up and pickup
What to bring
All participants will receive a new Chimo Taekwondo t-shirt!
Let us know your child’s shirt size (youth and adult sizes available)
The club has padded floors so participants may train in bare feet or wear socks.
Packed lunch and two nut-free snacks.
Refillable water bottle.
Any required medications (clearly labeled).
Safety and supervision
All activities are led and overseen by certified Chimo Taekwondo instructors with decades of experience teaching, motivating and coaching children.
Small group sizes and age-appropriate grouping.
First aid trained staff on site.
Strict nut-free policy and allergen awareness procedures.
